(omg ugly shoulders ololol!)

Here you see our mighty guildmaster Ironnigator aka. Adhoof. He lives in Paris, probably just a few streets away from our dear friends at Blizzard, who are providing the wonderful online sensation called "World of WarCraft".
We seriously don't want to blackmail people (I MEAN IT), especially not if they are our favorite game creators but in this case we make an exception!

Fix the servers until 20:00 CET today so they run lagfree so we can raid or we'll unleash him and you better hide where a bull of his size can't find you. We don't take money or free game time - we want to raid TODAY or you will suffer!

Promised.

I called Plex, Blizzard already detached the Special Operation Team as they take these kind of threads very serious.

Take care Iro, you have been a good Guildleader.

Gratz Chuck for being new Guildleader!

@Chuck
Awesome way how you framed Iro, dont forget your friend Rox who helped you to get rid of Adhoof !

the email is sent and the beast is unleashed :

Dear Sir/Madam,

I represent "Shadows of Doom", a European guild from Kul-Tiras comprised of over 80 account and more than 300 characters.

Since the initial Beta we have been loyal to this game and the work done by your team. Right now however, although we are completely satisfied with the game itself, we are suffering a lot of frustration that could ultimately lead to us moving en masse to another product.

I don't believe "Shadows of Doom" is unique in feeling this way and that many others will have the same thoughts.

This letter is not about petitioning for a feature change - rather we are just making this request:- for the product we pay for to meet with our basic quality of service expectations. As paying customers, we do not believe such a request is unreasonable.

Since the last patch it would seem that a lot of people from many different servers are experiencing unplayable latency inside instances. This ultimately equates to having a large part of your product's content inaccessible. I have read the forums daily for a week seeking some kind of update on the situation but remain completely in the dark about any measures you are taking to rectify this problem.

I understand that an undertaking of this magnitude is likely to be prone to technical issues. WoW is in uncharted territory - a victim of it's own success in this area. I am not asking for you to wave a magic wand and make everything work BUT WE ARE asking for much improved customer feedback service.

I understand that you can't reply to every concern raised by every customer; this is not my expectation. However when I see thousands and thousands of posts raised on your forums concerning the exact same issues to which no response - not even an acknowledgement of there being an issue - is forthcoming, it is extremely frustrating for all concerned.

We are a mature guild - with many members with families and jobs. We need to plan our activities well in advance and it causes a great deal of problems for our members on a personal level when unpredictable issues like this occur.

We all ask that your strive to improve your feedback to your customers - even posting a simple 'we are investigating the issue' message would save a lot of problems for us and your community managers. This would enable us to let our members know in advance that they should rearrange their evenings.

Basic status updates and, if possible, an E.T.A would also help us considerably to be more patient with your services. This should reduce the strain on your community managers policing your forums as mostly what people desire is simply information and acknowledgement that the issues are being investigated.

An apology and some free days every now and then is appreciated but far less satisfactory than simply knowing a little more about what is going on.

Having my members wondering if its due to their hardware, particular add-ons is very time consuming for them. Some have gone so far as to reinstall WoW based on the advice of your forums to try and fix an issue that is entirely located at your datacentres.

I hope you will regard this email as constructive customer feedback. I would appreciate it if you take the ideas and concerns under consideration.

Yours sincerely,

Ironnigator
Guild Leader of Shadows of Doom
Kul-Tiras Server
